Guest Post: My Sister!!
GUESS WHAT!

Pattie had BROKEN HER NOSE! That's right folks. Your faithful blog host is out-f0r-the-count for the next few days. Soooooo, as a great sister and generally all around amazing person, I've agreed to humbly grace you with a post or two.

Now, usually this blog is all about homemade stuff and craft and all that kind of...creative....stuff. Well, I'm going to try to stick to that theme the best way I know how... (we'll see how that goes).

Umm, as a person who does NOT do any of this handmade magic, and as a person who is forced (by Pattie) to view several handmade shops, I have discovered a pattern:

  1. There is a CRAP-TON of Jewelry shops! I'm serious. When Pattie and I were looking through the Shop Swap & Blog enlistees to choose partners, boy-oh-bAdd Videooy I would say about half were handmade Jewelry...not that I'm complaining! What woman doesn't want some fine handcrafted art to show to all of her friends when they go out to lunch?
  2. I LOVE handmade soap. I can't get enough of it...that's why I stay away from the shops! hahaha. I already have a basket full as it is...and I'm trying to get more...
  3. Esty.com is like a cult gathering for wonderful crafters with frighteningly creepy loyalties! (I mean that in the nicest way possible...cough, cough**)

All that being said, what do you think?? Are you too frightened by Esty people? Do you have to stay away from shops to have rent money? Do you LOVE Jewelry shops??

(what is it about water that is so soothing)

I know that everyone has been busy planning and re-planning for all of the days the wonderful days to come! But don't forget to step back and take some time to yourself :) I know we all can sometimes, so it is always nice to have a little reminder.

Be Blessed!

Yummy To My Tummy
So of course as a college student with very limited funds, my mind is constantly on Food...I mean my studies. And, naturally all of that "studying" is going to work up a hearty appetite!

So that is why today's post is about yummy goodness (YUMM)

I had to start this post off right so...I present to you the Caraway Rye Organic Crackers! **drools**

Does the word organic scare you?? Well don't let it, because these babies are not shy on flavor. Made with whole-wheat flower, real butter and milk and more than a nice amount of caraway all topped with coarse sea salt, the only thing your tongue will cry for is more!

And why just stop with the crackers!?! Top them with some yummy jam from the Classic Artisan Jam Trio. Because, I don't know about you but I am ALL for the mix of sweet and salty!

And with flavors such as Strawberry, Raspberry Chocolate, and Spiced Pear jam there is no way that you could go wrong, just pick and enjoy!

Or, you could go for some MouCo Camembert cheese (I soo adore cheese) with this deliciously robust taste massaging your pallet, there is no telling the flavor possibilities...

And what a great way to conclude your tasteful journey in these fast approaching cool days than the exotic taste of Tulsi Infusion tea in spicy & exsquisite holy basil.
Yep, Heaven on earth!

(Can you tell I'm hungary yet!!)

I thought this was MY day...
So around here lately there has been a lot of talk of marriage. First my good friend Shay just got engaged a little bit ago. And, my boyfriend and I have been talking around engagement for a few months so with all of that I had to pull out my one and only thing I knew was going to be in my wedding....
The Dress!
But when I showed my sister and our roommate I was verbally attacked!!!
"A red wedding dress?!?!? Absolutely no!!"

Because (apparently) all wedding dresses are supposed to be white, with no exception, and apparently because of the "Scarlet Letter"(really people) if I wear a red dress I must be tainted (despite the fact that I'm a virgin, I guess the dress can take that away from me...).

And, what really got them is that I want my wedding to be all different shades of white and everyone wears white to the wedding, and I be the only color there :p

"Well I'll come to your wedding in red" my roommate said

I simply stated, "you won't get through the door"

I personally don't see what the big problem is!

What are your thoughts on this, am I just being outrageous?!?
